Hermès Q3 2026 revenue: 4.1 billion euros, up 4.3% at constant rates, with Asia-Pacific flat
By Yash Malviya·
Hermès reported third-quarter revenue of 4,096 million euros on October 22, 2026. Leather goods grew 10.8% at constant rates, but Asia-Pacific outside Japan did not grow.
Hermès Q3 2026 revenue came to 4,096 million euros, up 4.3% at constant exchange rates and 5.5% at current rates, the company said in its October 22, 2026 release. Nine-month revenue reached 12,260 million euros, up 5.5% at constant rates. The headline looks healthy. The detail shows a house leaning almost entirely on leather goods while its largest region stood still.
The numbers, as Hermès reported them
The third quarter compared with 3,881 million euros a year earlier. At current rates that is a 5.5% gain, helped by the way currencies moved against the euro in the period. At constant rates, which strip currency out, growth was 4.3%. A year ago the same measure was 9.6%, according to La Conceria's report on the October 2025 release, so the pace has roughly halved.
Over nine months the picture is steadier. Revenue of 12,260 million euros is up 5.5% at constant rates and 2.9% at current rates. Hermès put the currency drag at about 310 million euros on revenue. The Investing.com transcript of the earnings call adds that management described that exposure as hedged and pointed mainly to the weak yen.
Here is the reality check on the word "growth": the gap between 5.5% and 2.9% is not a rounding error. A shopper in Paris or Tokyo sees the same bag price. An investor reading euros sees a smaller number.
Leather goods did the work
Leather goods and saddlery, the métier that holds the bags, produced 1,912 million euros in the quarter, up 10.8% at constant rates, against 1,700 million euros a year earlier. That is roughly 47 percent of the quarter's revenue by our arithmetic from the release's figures. Nine-month leather goods revenue was 5,673 million euros, up 10.2% at constant rates.
Most of the rest looked softer. Ready-to-wear and accessories fell 2.0% at constant rates in the quarter, to 1,141 million euros. Watches fell 6.0% to 125 million euros. Silk and textiles grew 1.4%, and the "other Hermès sectors" line, which includes jewelry, was down 1.1%. Perfume and beauty rose 7.5% on a small base of 128 million euros.
“Despite a complex environment, Hermès continues its profitable growth and maintains its course.”
On the call, chief financial officer Éric du Halgouët said, according to the Investing.com transcript, that "All the leather goods that we produce is being sold." That is management's own description, and it is a statement about supply, not a measure of demand. It is consistent with leather goods growing at double digits while most of the rest of the catalog shrinks.

Asia-Pacific stalled
Asia-Pacific excluding Japan, the group's largest region, brought in 1,650 million euros in the third quarter. At current rates that is 3.8% higher than the 1,589 million euros of a year earlier. At constant rates it is 0.0%. Over nine months the region's constant-rate growth is 1.6%, on revenue of 5,182 million euros.
Japan told a different story: 402 million euros in the quarter, up 9.6% at constant rates, and 10.5% over nine months. Europe excluding France grew 9.5% in the quarter. The Middle East was the only region to shrink, down 4.5% at constant rates in the quarter and 4.3% over nine months.
Management's explanation, per the Investing.com transcript, was that the slowdown in China is "really a matter of footfall more than anything else," with weaker traffic in volume categories such as fashion accessories, watches and shoes. Management also pointed to the new Chinese levy on offshore goods. We have not seen that levy's text, so we report only that management cited it. Management said October trends were unchanged across regions, including China.
The Americas cooled from a high base
The Americas produced 791 million euros in the quarter, up 8.8% at constant rates and 10.7% at current rates. Over nine months the region is up 13.1% at constant rates, to 2,376 million euros. Third-quarter growth slowed because the comparison was hard: La Conceria reports the region grew 14.1% at constant rates in the third quarter of 2025, a period when many expected US tariffs to dent demand.
What the market made of it
Investing.com cited a forecast of about 4.14 billion euros for the quarter, so the 4,096 million euros reported was close to expectations rather than a miss or a beat. It reported the shares falling about 4.6% in premarket trading on the day. That is a market reaction we are noting, not a prediction about where the stock goes next.
What Hermès says about the year ahead
The release says the group confirmed its ambitious medium-term goal for revenue growth at constant exchange rates, despite economic, geopolitical and monetary uncertainty. It did not publish a numerical target for 2026 in the text we read. The next dates in the release are February 12, 2027 for full-year 2026 results and April 22, 2027 for first-quarter revenue. Our own luxury earnings calendar lists the remaining reporting dates for the big groups, and our coverage of LVMH's third quarter shows how the same quarter looked at the largest group.
Our take
Hermès is still growing faster than most of the sector, and the leather goods line is the reason. But a business that grew 9.6% a year ago and 4.3% now, with its largest region flat, is not the unstoppable machine the stock's reputation implies. We would watch two things: whether Asia-Pacific excluding Japan turns positive by the February results, and whether ready-to-wear and watches stop shrinking. Until then the story is one category carrying the house.
