LVMH reported third-quarter 2026 revenue of 18,504 million euros on October 12, up 1% on an organic basis. That sounds steady. The detail is less comfortable: Fashion & Leather Goods, the division that holds Louis Vuitton, Dior, Celine, Fendi and Loewe, shrank 5% organically in the quarter to 8,245 million euros, according to the group's own presentation. If you are searching for LVMH Q3 2026 revenue, the short version is a group held up by jewelry, Sephora and spirits while its flagship fashion engine slipped.

The numbers, division by division

The group's presentation gives organic change for each business group against the same quarter of 2025. In the third quarter, Wines & Spirits rose 6%, Fashion & Leather Goods fell 5%, Perfumes & Cosmetics rose 1%, Watches & Jewelry rose 6% and Selective Retailing rose 8%. Total LVMH was up 1%.

Revenue in euros tells the same story. Fashion & Leather Goods brought in 8,245 million euros in Q3 2026 against 8,497 million a year earlier. Over nine months, the division stands at 26,391 million euros versus 27,611 million, an organic decline of 2%. Group revenue over nine months was 57,148 million euros against 58,090 million, which LVMH describes as organic growth of 2%. The reported figure is lower than the organic one because of currency and changes in the group's perimeter.

The division's year has been uneven. Organic change was negative 2% in the first quarter, positive 1% in the second and negative 5% in the third. The third quarter is therefore the weakest of the year for the core business, even though the same quarter of 2025 was a softer comparison (negative 2%).

Where the weakness is

LVMH is explicit about geography. The presentation cites "weaker Chinese demand" and an impact from a weaker macroeconomic environment in China on the fashion division. The regional table backs that up: Asia excluding Japan fell 5% organically in Q3 after rising 4% in the second quarter and 7% in the first. The United States rose 5%, Japan 6% and Europe 4% in Q3.

So the pattern is not a global collapse in luxury demand. It is a sharp reversal in one region that carries heavy weight in the group's mix: Asia excluding Japan was 27% of nine-month revenue, the same share as a year earlier, against 25% for the United States.

The presentation also names a "one-off logistic problem in Q3 for Louis Vuitton." It gives no figure for the cost of that problem, so no one outside the company can say how much of the 5% it explains. Treat it as a claim, not a measurement.

What LVMH says is working

The company's own account of the fashion division is more upbeat than the number. It lists "good momentum of creative renewal" and highlights Loro Piana, Celine's collections under Michael Rider, Dior under Jonathan Anderson, Fendi's first collections by Maria Grazia Chiuri and Givenchy's ready-to-wear under Sarah Burton. Louis Vuitton is credited with the success of recently launched bags and of collections by Nicolas Ghesquiere and Pharrell Williams.

Those are the company's characterizations, and the release gives no sales figure for any single house. LVMH does not report brand-level revenue, so the creative-director story cannot be tested from this document. The one hard fact is that, despite all those new collections, the division still shrank in the quarter.

Beyond fashion

The rest of the group did its job. Watches & Jewelry grew 6% in the quarter and 8% over nine months to 7,725 million euros, with LVMH citing Tiffany & Co. and Bvlgari. Selective Retailing, led by Sephora, grew 8% in Q3. Wines & Spirits returned to clear growth at 6%, helped by Champagne and what LVMH calls positive momentum for Hennessy in China. Perfumes & Cosmetics was flat over nine months.

How it compared with expectations

Per the market newswire Newsquawk, group Q3 sales of 18.50 billion euros were slightly above the consensus of 18.47 billion, while Fashion & Leather Goods at 8.25 billion fell short of an expected 8.39 billion, with organic change of negative 5% against an expected negative 1.57%. The watch magazine Monochrome reported that LVMH shares had fallen about 40% since the start of 2026, closing at 384.5 euros on October 12, before the results came out. We report those figures as the outlets gave them; we make no prediction about the stock.

Why it matters for the rest of fashion

LVMH is the sector's largest listed bellwether, and its fashion division is the profit center of the group. A 5% organic fall in a single quarter, concentrated in Asia, is a data point for every house selling to Chinese customers. It also lands as the industry's other big groups prepare their own updates. Our take

Watch, do not panic. The group number is fine and the diversification is doing what it was built to do. But the division that makes the money fell 5% in a quarter when LVMH had a long list of new collections to point to, and the company's explanation rests on China and one unquantified logistics issue. The next test is the fourth quarter and the full-year results: look for a smaller decline in Fashion & Leather Goods and a stable Asia line before calling this a bottom. LVMH offered no executive quotation in the materials we opened, so the claims above are from the company's own presentation.
