If you are searching for the fashion week London location, the honest answer is that there is no single address. London Fashion Week, run by the British Fashion Council (BFC), has had no official central venue since February 2020, according to the venue history on Wikipedia. Shows and presentations are spread across the city, at settings chosen by each brand, and published in the BFC's official schedule. The September 2026 edition ran from Thursday September 17 to Monday September 21. This guide covers how that works, where the event has been held, and how to find where a given show is.
Where London Fashion Week has been held
The venue history is a map of London's changing real estate. The first London Fashion Week, in 1984, took place in the car park of the Commonwealth Institute in Kensington, with 15 catwalk shows. By September 1984 it moved to the Duke of York's Barracks on King's Road, then to Olympia in March 1986, the Ritz Hotel in 1992 and the grounds of the Natural History Museum by 1994.
Later homes were Battersea Park from February 2005 and Somerset House from 2009 until September 2015, when the event moved to the Brewer Street car park in Soho. From February 2017 until February 2020 it was held at 180 Strand, in the Store Studios. The COVID-19 pandemic cancelled physical shows in September 2020; the first edition with a live audience was June 2021. Since then, Wikipedia notes, the BFC has used a hybrid digital and physical approach, with no official LFW venue.
How it works now
Without a hub, the schedule does the job a venue used to do. The BFC publishes a provisional schedule, then updates it, and each entry names a brand or event and when it happens. Each brand chooses its own setting, whether a runway show, a presentation or an installation. The BFC's September 2026 announcement describes a season with "a strong emphasis on high-impact physical experiences and interdisciplinary storytelling," including installations, exhibitions and cultural events.
“This season marks an exciting moment for London Fashion Week, with the return of leading British brands alongside an exceptional new generation of creative talent.”
That is why the answer to "where is it" depends on who you want to see. Burberry, McQueen, Mulberry and Erdem are among the houses named on the September 2026 schedule, and each decides its own show setting. We could not verify a venue list for the September 2026 shows from the BFC's announcement, which names brands and events but not addresses. Check the official calendar at londonfashionweek.co.uk for the current entries.

The September 2026 edition in brief
The BFC's July 20, 2026 announcement lists McQueen returning with Seán McGirr's London debut for the house, and Mulberry returning under creative director Christopher Kane with his debut collection. It also lists Barbour, Burberry, Emilia Wickstead, Erdem, Harris Reed, Richard Quinn, Roksanda and Simone Rocha, alongside newer names. BFC NEWGEN recipients Francesca Lake, Gui Rosa and Petra Fagerstrom were due to make their LFW debuts.
Retail partners took a bigger role. Marks & Spencer was due to make its LFW debut with a "see now, buy now" runway collection for its centenary year, Dover Street Market was to host a jewelry showcase in store, eBay was returning with a pre-loved runway show shoppable via eBay Live, and Selfridges was to spotlight participating brands in store. These are the public-facing parts of the week, and they are why a pass to "LFW" can mean a shopping street as much as a runway. Can the public attend?
Most runway shows are for press, buyers and invited guests; Wikipedia says LFW presents itself to funders as a trade event that also attracts press attention. Wikipedia notes that a retail-focused LFW Festival has historically run at the same time and been open to the public, though we found no 2026 festival details in the sources we opened. The reliable public touchpoints in 2026 are the retail activations: in-store programs at Selfridges and Dover Street Market, and shoppable moments such as eBay's Endless Runway.
If you want to see a show, the route is the brand: follow the designer, apply through their press or showroom contacts where they take requests, and read the BFC schedule for entries marked as open to the public. Be wary of any third-party site selling "LFW access"; the BFC's schedule is the source of truth.
What about menswear?
London's standalone menswear week no longer exists. Wikipedia records that in June 2025 the BFC moved away from a separate men's week and launched menswear-focused London Show Rooms in Paris instead. The BFC's October 2026 news listing includes London Show Rooms returning to Paris Fashion Week this month, so menswear buyers now meet London labels in Paris. Women's and men's collections from houses like McQueen are shown together on the main London schedule.
Our take
Stop looking for a venue. London Fashion Week is a five-day schedule, not a place, and its geography follows the brands. The upside is variety; the downside is that a visitor needs the official calendar and an invitation. For the next edition's dates, track our fashion week calendar for 2027, and treat any listing of a fixed LFW venue as out of date unless the BFC says otherwise.
