Quince has opened a UK site, its first market beyond North America. We read the prices and returns terms on the UK store on October 19 and checked the company's claims.

Quince has launched a UK site, its first market outside North America, FashionUnited reported on October 19, 2026. The UK store at quince.com/gb prices in pounds, advertises free delivery and easy returns for 365 days, and leads with cashmere jumpers at £50. Those are facts you can check. The line that customers are "surprised by the luxury quality for high-street price points" is the company's own, and nobody independent has tested it in what we found.

What launched

FashionUnited says the initial range covers womenswear, menswear, children's clothing and homeware, tailored to British shoppers, with more categories expected. The company says it serves millions of customers across more than 100 categories and reports triple-digit year-on-year growth since launch. Those are Quince's figures and we have not seen them in a filing.

The launch follows Canada. Quince opened quince.ca in January 2026 after a soft launch in November 2025, according to Retail Dive, which called Canada the company's first international expansion. FashionUnited's Canada report says prices there include duties and taxes. Retail Dive also reported a $290 million Series D in 2025. FashionUnited's UK story cites a later $500 million round led by Iconiq at a $10.1 billion valuation. We could not find that round in a primary document, so treat the valuation as reported, not confirmed.

The prices, read on October 19

We read the UK store on October 19, 2026. Prices move, so this is a snapshot.

  • Mongolian cashmere crewneck jumper: £50
  • Mongolian cashmere V-neck jumper: £50
  • Mongolian cashmere henley jumper: £70
  • Mongolian cashmere full-zip jumper, men's: £90
  • Bella stretch barrel jeans: £45
  • Penelope small shoulder bag: £120
  • Hudson suede tote: £150
  • Cashmere comb: £10

The page advertises "Free delivery & easy returns for 365 days". It did not show the full terms in what we could read, so confirm who pays for what, and whether worn items qualify, on the returns page.

How the model is meant to work

Quince says it works directly with manufacturers and sells without traditional retail markups. FashionUnited describes the company as using AI to track demand at the product and size level and adjust production accordingly, and publishing cost breakdowns covering materials, manufacturing, packaging, shipping and fees. Matt Lippert, the chief merchandising officer, describes the approach as centered on "the system behind how quality products are made, priced, and delivered."

“Our mission has always been to make luxury essentials accessible to more people”

That is a business model, not a quality guarantee. A low price with no middleman can still mean thin fabric. Our own piece on whether Quince counts as fast fashion goes through the claims and reviews, and the same test applies in the UK: look at fiber content, weight and independent reviews, not the homepage.

The disputes behind the brand

FashionUnited notes two court matters. Coach sued Quince in 2025 over two handbags it said resembled its Rogue and Soho Flap designs, and the parties agreed to dismiss the case in June 2026, each paying its own legal costs. Deckers, which owns Ugg, sued over boots resembling its Classic Ultra Mini. In June 2026 a jury invalidated the design patent and the court ruled in Quince's favor, per the same report.

Neither outcome says anything about product quality. They do show that the brand's pricing and styling have drawn legal attention from larger competitors. We have not researched UK design law and will not guess how those rules would apply.

What the UK market means for the company

For Quince the UK is a test of whether the model travels. Canada is a neighboring market with similar sizing and tastes, and prices there include duties and taxes. Britain brings a different currency, different return habits and long-established competitors in cashmere and basics. Its head of international, Laurent Duray, calls the UK a "discerning market".

The company's own scale claims also deserve a date. Triple-digit growth is a statement about a base that was small at launch, and "millions of customers" says nothing about how many buy twice. None of that is a criticism; it is simply what a private company's claims can and cannot show without filings.

What to check before you buy

Because the quality claim cannot be verified from the page, a few checks are worth the time. Read the fiber content and the weight of the knit, since a £50 jumper and a £150 jumper can both be sold as cashmere with very different yarn. Look for photos and reviews from UK customers rather than the brand's own pages. Confirm the delivery cost and the returns process, including whether you pay to send an item back, because "free returns for 365 days" can mean different things in different checkouts.

The single most useful test is the cheapest one: order one piece, wash it once the way the label says, and see how it holds. The price is low enough that a failed test costs little, and the long returns window is there to be used if the item falls short.

Our take

The price and the returns window are genuinely attractive on paper, and publishing cost breakdowns is more transparency than most basics brands offer. But a £50 cashmere jumper is a claim about value that only wear and washing can test, and the 365-day window is only as good as its fine print. If you shop there, buy one piece, check the fiber label and the weight on arrival, and use the returns window if it falls short. We would skip the hype and watch whether independent UK reviews appear in the next few months.
